For my third year university group project myself and 10 other developers are creating an isometric RPG in Unreal Engine 5. You play as someone who has just woken up on a psych ward with no memory of anything other than your cat. You must traverse the game "talking" to NPCs using our patent pending dialogue mechanic while trying to piece together your past, so you can move on to your future, and most importantly... Find. Your. Cat.
My role in this project is lead programmer. I have one junior programmer working under me who is working on the general movement and camera mechanics of the game. My assigned workload consists of: Game Scope, HUD Mechanics, Dialogue Development, AI Pathing, NPC Behavioural Networks, Object Lighting and Animation, Voice Acting, GitHub Repository Master, Bug Fixer, and General Quality of Life Mechanics, I.E Automated Resolution Adjustment and Raytracing/DLSS Implementation.
