Run The Mansion was my first year group project made in the Unity Engine, it is a Local Co-op Puzzle game for 2 players. One player runs through the mansion’s several rooms with the limited information their surroundings provide. The second player looks through cameras and controls drones to get a birds-eye view, acquiring information that the runner wouldn’t be able to get by themselves. Each room in the mansion has its own tricks and puzzles within; so you better hope you don’t get caught.
Run The Mansion was developed by a team of 8 including myself, 4 designers, a writer, an artist and a animator. This was our first experience using the agile methodology, which we applied through the use of weekly sprints, however, proper use of daily stand-ups and work allocation software like trello wasn't adopted until our later projects.
My role was to realistically scope the project, voice act in the trailer and into cutscene, and implement any and all mechanics, features and objects. This Included: Split Screen Multiplayer, Custom Controller Creation, Local Player Based Object Occlusion, Movement, HUD, Tutorials, Object Placement, Puzzle Creation, Ray cast Based Interactions, Animation Rigging, Win/Loss Conditions, Gameplay Loop, and Bug testing.
